Bengaluru Live Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
Bengaluru Live is an informational calendar for discovering live music events in Bengaluru. This policy explains what information the service collects, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account’s stable subject identifier, name, email address, and email-verification status from Google. We use the stable identifier as the account key; your email is used to identify the signed-in account and communicate the account state.
When you use the service, we store the events you add to your private wishlist and the events you mark as “not interested.” We also receive ordinary technical request information needed to operate secure sessions, such as the request time and browser-provided network metadata.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate you, keep your preferences available across devices, show your personalized event lists, protect accounts from unauthorized access, and operate and improve Bengaluru Live. Your preferences are private to your account.
Google and the event catalogue
Google Sign-In is used for identity verification only. Bengaluru Live does not request access to your Google Drive, Gmail, contacts, or other Google account content. The shared event catalogue is read by the application backend from a private source spreadsheet; spreadsheet credentials are never sent to your browser.
Google user data limited use
Google user data is used only to provide and secure sign-in and to associate your private event preferences with your account. It is not sold, used for advertising, credit decisions, or transferred to data brokers. It is not used to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
Sharing, retention, and security
We do not sell personal information. We do not share your wishlist or “not interested” choices with other users. Account and preference records are retained while your account is active so the service can provide its core features. We use secure, HttpOnly session cookies and access controls designed to prevent one user from reading another user’s preferences.
Your choices and deletion
You may sign out at any time. To request deletion of your account preferences or ask a privacy question, open an issue in the project repository without including private credentials or sensitive personal information. We will use the information in the request only to handle that request.
Changes and contact
We will update this page if our data practices change. The application name and repository linked above identify the service responsible for this policy.
